In the course of raising funds, the school would like to provide an avenue for the students to do their part and not be mere recipients of largess. The school also wants to promote joint participation among teachers and students—past and present—to rekindle old ties and friendships, and to build on our strong school spirit.

A special fundraising art commission programme is therefore in place to raise a collective sum for the PRIME fund. The theme of the art piece is based on a Chinese saying ‘ 饮水思源 ’ (or “When drinking water, think of its source”). It teaches us to pay gratitude to those who made the present possible. The art direction is led by two of our fine arts graduates: Serene Yang, Graduating Class of 1996; and Lynn Lu, Graduating Class of 1990. The completed art piece will be displayed in the new building.

All art commission donors who contribute a minimum of $1,000 will be acknowledged at the premise of the artwork. See also SNGS Circle of Friends, one of the key pillars of the SNGS PRIME fundraising programme.
