2. By credit card
The Alumnae Association is able to process credit card payments on behalf of the school if it is indeed the only mode of payment available to the donor. The school prefers cheque payments because the credit card payment merchant charges a minimum 3.5% processing fee—money we should really direct to the PRIME fund instead—for every credit card transaction.
Example:
If you donate $1000, $35 would be the fee charged by the credit card payment merchant and $965 would be the nett amount received by the school for the PRIME building fund. Therefore, we appeal to everyone to please try to donate via cheque payment. |
